Aisling Barrett
Aisling Barrett is a principal and consulting actuary in Milliman’s Dublin office. Aisling leads our actuarial reporting team giving actuarial support to a range of life, health, non-life and reinsurance clients.
Experience
Aisling's experience is primarily in the Irish insurance market supporting both domestic and cross-border life insurers. Her experience covers Solvency II, IFRS 17, financial reporting, product development, and strategic consulting work, e.g., the establishment of new life companies. She has led a wide range of life consulting assignments with a diverse client base.
Aisling is significantly experienced carrying out the role of the Head of Actuarial Function in addition to supporting the Reviewing Actuary and Risk Management Function for insurance companies in Ireland.
Aisling is an active member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and has participated on several working parties. She is currently a co-chair of the SAI Life HoAF Forum and a member of the cross-border life insurance committee.
Aisling was a member of the Retrospective on Solvency II working party of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries that was awarded a certification of commendation for its paper “A Review of Solvency II - Has it Met its Objectives?”
