Anna Berezovskaya
Anna is a principal and consulting actuary with the Life practice in Milliman's Chicago office. She joined the firm in 2000.
Experience
Anna specializes in life insurance mergers and acquisitions, securitization transactions, and strategic capital management. She has developed extensive expertise in modeling individual life and annuity lines of business by supporting numerous clients through valuation, due diligence, and post-acquisition purchase GAAP analysis. She frequently advises clients on corporate modeling projects involving economic capital, embedded values, market-consistent embedded values, cash-flow testing, and financial planning.
In the past few years, Anna has done substantial work with variable annuities both in the context of M&A assignments as well as financial reporting, planning, and risk management. She advises clients on efficient model design and practical solutions in the implementation of stochastic and nested stochastic projection models, primarily through use of MG-ALFA®.
Anna also helps clients navigate emerging regulations. Most recently she has been engaged in a number of projects related to the emerging Solvency II regime in the European Union. She focuses on evaluating potential impact of Solvency II on operations of affected U.S. insurers and providing modeling solutions to meet Solvency II requirements.
