Wayne Blackburn
Wayne is a principal and consulting actuary in the Little Falls, New Jersey office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1988.
Experience
Wayne provides actuarial services to a wide array of clients, including single and multi-line primary insurance companies, reinsurance companies, residual market mechanisms, and self-insurance programs. Wayne has 27 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been a consulting actuary for 26 years.
Among the consulting services he provides are loss reserve analyses, due diligence work for mergers and acquisitions, rate and funding projections, financial studies, cash-flow analyses, and risk capital modeling.
Wayne has also performed actuarial analyses for insurance companies outside of the United States in Japan, Brazil, and Sweden.
Wayne co-authored the paper, "The Application of Fundamental Valuation Principles to Property/Casualty Insurance Companies" published in the Casualty Actuarial Society's 2004 Discussion Paper Program book.
He has presented at the Casualty Actuarial Society Spring Meeting (2004), Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar (2006), ERM Symposium (2009), and the IASA Mid Atlantic Conference (2009).
