Josh Collins
Josh Collins is a consulting actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2013.
Experience
Josh’s areas of expertise are Medicare Advantage, PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), and International Actuarial Development. Josh has over a decade of experience in Medicare Advantage, supporting various organizations' bid development for both medical and prescription drug coverage. In addition to bid development, he has also supported organizations with product design, desk review, financial and bid audit support, experience analysis, Part D settlement analysis, and feasibility studies.
Josh also supports PACE organizations in developing PACE Part D bids for established organizations and helping new PACE organizations navigate the Part D bid requirements. He supports PACE organizations year-round with performing revenue auditing services and analyzing prescription drug claims data for revenue, cost, and quality improvement opportunities.
Additionally, Josh has extensive international actuarial experience in development of the actuarial profession. Josh was a program manager for the UNDP-Milliman Global Actuarial Initiative (GAIN), whose goal is to enhance global sustainable development through the expansion of actuarial capacity and expertise in the developing world. Through this role Josh performed actuarial assessments of developing countries and worked with key stakeholders (such as regulators, insurance associations, universities, and federal departments/ministries, etc.) to implement interventions targeted to advancing the actuarial profession in their country.
