Subhash Khanna
Subhash Khanna is a principal and consulting actuary in our life insurance consulting practice in India and is based in New Delhi. He joined the firm in January 2015.
Experience
Subhash has over 14 years of experience, serving clients across the globe. He has worked on several embedded / appraisal valuations, especially in the context of M&As and IPOs, in India and the Asia-Pacific region. He has been involved in delivering a wide range of projects, including large-scale implementation of US GAAP LDTI reporting for clients in India.
Subhash has also been involved with the following:
- Supporting ICICI Prudential in its IPO – the first insurance IPO in India – and HDFC Life in its IPO
- Conducting multiple reviews of market-consistent embedded values and analyses of movement in embedded values
- Performing statutory reserving, solvency capital reporting, and business planning for clients in Europe, the US, and the Middle East
- Designing and implementing FIS Prophet® models, including ALS and IFRS 17, for clients in Europe and Asia-Pacific
- Pricing and new product development for clients in the Middle East
Prior to joining Milliman, Subhash was part of Swiss Re’s life and health actuarial team. At Swiss Re, Subhash worked on the following key projects:
- Led the modeling initiatives at Swiss Re Zurich, overseeing the successful implementation of a unified global actuarial model
- Played a central role in streamlining and automating financial reporting by contributing to the implementation of an enterprise-wide actuarial valuation system
He has also worked with SunGard, where he was part of the organization's Prophet team based in Hong Kong. He worked as an actuarial consultant and was involved in Prophet model developments and testing. He supported large-scale Prophet Enterprise implementations for clients in Asia. He was also responsible for training clients on Prophet and ALS.
