Wen Yee Lee
Experience
Prior to Milliman, Wen Yee spent 12 years with Watson Wyatt, nine of which were spent in Asia Pacific and three in the UK. Wen Yee has worked on a large variety of life insurance projects. Her experience includes providing appointed actuary services to companies in the UK and Singapore, carrying out appraisal valuations using both traditional embedded value (TEV) and market consistent embedded value (MCEV) techniques, and undertaking technical lead roles in mergers and acquisition projects in South-East Asia and the Central Eastern Europe region. She also assists companies in the implementation of Solvency II, product pricing and development, business planning, and providing advice on ALM. At Milliman’s Singapore office, Wen Yee covers the South East Asian region, including Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

- Advising AMMB Holdings Berhad on the sale of AmLife/AmTakaful

- Advising Sequis Life on the sale of a stake in their business to Nippon Life
- Advising Meiji Yasuda on acquiring a higher stake in PT Avrist Assurance
- Advising Prudential Corporation Asia on the acquisition of a stake in Thanachart Life
- Advising investment banks, reinsurers and insurers operating in Singapore on the regulatory impact of proposed investment/reinsurance solutions
- Assisting Singapore insurers on the management of Universal Life portfolio
- Reviewing MPB policies for a number of companies in Malaysia
Wen Yee sits on the Singapore Actuarial Society’s Retirement Committee Work Group and speaks regularly at actuarial conferences and forums.
