Jacob Magnusson is a senior actuarial manager with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2013.
Experience
Jacob has served many types of clients in his time at Milliman. His main areas of expertise are Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care rate setting.
- Jacob assists MA-PDs and PDPs with strategic planning, feasibility studies, settlement estimation, and Medicare Advantage bid preparation.
- Jacob works with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration to develop Medicaid managed care rates for Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan populations.
- Jacob works with the Mississippi Division of Medicaid to develop Medicaid managed care rates for the MississippiCAN program that covers acute care services for low income and disabled populations.
Prior to joining Milliman, Jacob was an assistant instructor in the mathematics department of Indiana University from 2008 through 2012.
