Michael Mikhitarian
Mike Mikhitarian is a principal and consulting actuary with Milliman’s Albany, New York office. He joined the firm in 1994. He has been in the pension and employee benefit consulting field since 1989.
Experience
Mike consults with clients on plan design, funding, benefit adequacy, and compliance with ERISA and related regulations. His clients include several hospitals, insurance companies, public utilities, and communication companies. Mike also works on several church plans.
He helps clients define and meet their retirement income and financial goals using a combination of defined benefit, defined contribution, and non-qualified retirement plans. Using projection and simulation models, Mike helps his clients manage the risks and rewards of financing retirement benefits. In addition, he provides investment consulting, asset/liability studies, and investment monitoring services to both defined benefit and defined contribution clients throughout the Northeast region.
Mike’s team is responsible for all aspects of the valuation process as well as the preparation of IRS and PBGC government filings, investment monitoring, and special cost/benefit studies.
