Anna Morgan
Anna Morgan is a principal and consulting actuary with Milliman. Anna provides consulting services to a broad range of plan sponsors, including several large government entities, multi-employers, unions, and corporate plans on active and retiree plans. She consults across the myriad financial issues that health and welfare plan sponsors encounter as they manage their programs. Her consulting assignments include the full scope of financial activities that self-funded and fully insured programs require such as, but not limited to, benefit design, budget rate and contribution setting, reserving, forecasting, vendor selection and negotiations, and overall healthcare strategy. She focuses on medical, Rx, dental and vision benefits, and other programs such as EAPs, Mental and Behavioral Health, and navigation solutions. Additional responsibilities include the following:
- Calculating IBNR reserves and premium stabilization reserves
- Conducting stop-loss modeling using Monte Carlo simulations
- Completing Medicare Part D attestations for the retiree drug subsidies and evaluating additional medical and Rx options for Medicare-eligible retirees
- Providing required compliance documents, such as PCORI and RxDC, and completing compliance audits, other actuarial audits, and responding to government audits
- Designing and implementing a complete health and welfare redesign
- Evaluating FSAs, HRAs, and HSAs
- Implementing and measuring wellness programs
- Working with various Point Solutions (i.e., third-party solution partners)
Experience
Anna came to Milliman in 2021 from a national consulting firm where she served as chief actuary. She has 25+ years of actuarial health care consulting experience. Anna served as principal and chief actuary for three national actuarial consulting firms.
