John Mulvihill

John’s experience is primarily in the life assurance field in both the Irish domestic and cross-border life assurance markets. His expertise includes valuation and financial reporting; development, maintenance, and validation of actuarial modelling systems; capital modelling; financial projections; and other consulting work. He has also worked with the Actuarial Function for a range of companies, selling unit-linked, variable annuity, PPI, and non-linked business. He has worked with both direct writers and reinsurers. He has supported a number of companies in the implementation of Solvency II and has been involved in all aspects of Solvency II, including calculation of the technical provisions and SCR, documenting methodologies and assumptions, and preparing reports. He has prepared and reviewed various Solvency II policies and has supported companies with Pillar 3 reporting requirements.
