Shelly Brandel is a principal and consulting actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. She originally joined the firm in 1995 and re-joined in 2008.
Experience
Shelly has a diverse background in managed healthcare, with over 25 years of consulting experience. She has advised state and federal government agencies, health plans, employers, and health systems, allowing her to provide unique insights on a wide range of healthcare issues. Shelly’s expertise is in managed Medicaid and Medicare healthcare programs.
Shelly also spent three years working in the analytics division for a healthcare data analysis and care management vendor, which warehoused more than 40 different payors’ medical, prescription drug, and biometric datasets.
