Alyssa Lu

Alyssa consults to primarily health insurance companies and has extensive experience with long-term care insurance and pharmacy management services. Additionally, Alyssa has experience with rate filings in the commercial market.

Her professional experience with long-term care insurance includes cash flow testing, actuarial appraisals for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting and reserve development, first principles modeling, state insurance department rate filings, experience analysis, and pricing. Alyssa is an expert in MG-ALFA, Milliman’s asset-liability modeling platform. Alyssa’s work with pharmacy benefits has focused on assisting clients in evaluating PBM proposals / contracts during procurements, renewals, and market checks. In addition, she has evaluated and provided guidance on PBM programs for her clients. She also has worked with pharmacy industry organizations to conduct research using Milliman’s detailed claims databases within the commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid markets.
