Nia Powis

Nia’s experience is primarily in the life assurance field in both the Irish domestic and cross-border life assurance markets.

Her expertise includes valuation and financial reporting; developing, maintaining, and validating actuarial modelling systems; actuarial outsourcing; and other consulting work.

She has worked on a variety of portfolios of business, including unit-linked business and non-linked business.

Nia has extensive actuarial modelling experience. She has been involved in the development, ongoing maintenance, and validation of actuarial models in MS Excel, MS Access, and Milliman Mind.

She is also keeping up to date on developments in the areas of actuarial modelling and Solvency II.
