Steve is a principal and consulting actuary with the New York office of Milliman. He co-manages the New York life consulting practice. Steve joined the firm in 1986.
Experience
Over the past several years, Steve has advised insurance companies, reinsurers, private equity firms, banks, and financial guarantors on a range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, capital market securitizations/ private structured transactions (relating to reserve redundancies and embedded value transactions including closed blocks), and corporate restructurings (demutualizations, mutual holding company conversions, mutual-mutual mergers, and one mutualization transaction). Steve also has experience in principle-based reserves, reinsurance, and New York regulatory matters. Steve also served as an expert witness in several cases in defense of insurance companies.

Steve has spoken at Society of Actuaries meetings, American Academy of Actuaries meetings, the American Council of Life Insurers CFO Forum, the ReFocus Conference, Actuarial Society of Greater New York meetings, and other industry meetings.
