Growing evidence shows that telehealth can be an effective tool for improving access to care and improving healthcare quality and outcomes. But the financial sustainability of California community health centers and clinics (CCHC) telehealth programs is a concern. This report includes a financial analysis examining the costs and revenue of telehealth programs in five CCHCs. It also examines the underlying reimbursement structure for telehealth in California and offers key considerations for the sustainability of telehealth as part of the evolving delivery system.
