While providers have started to take on various types of risk through alternative payment models (APMs), there are important factors for provider organizations to consider before taking on risk for the total cost of care. As we move into 2021 and hopefully out of the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be interesting to see the impact on the trends of APMs.
