Section 1915(i) of the Social Security Act addresses the inclusion of home and community-based services (HCBS) in the state plan. While Section 1915(i) predated the enactment of the ACA, the ACA legislation provided some modifications to Section 1915(i) that increased its visibility in the HCBS landscape. Prior to deciding to implement a 1915(i) state plan option, there are several implications to be considered.
