Recent healthcare price transparency legislation has made a vast amount of proprietary data publicly available for the first time. This data has the potential to transform how entities contract, negotiate, and set prices for healthcare services; how employers offer healthcare benefits to their employees; how individuals understand healthcare costs prior to undergoing a treatment or accessing care; and much more. This paper provides an overview of the available transparency data and common questions we have received throughout the development of Insights from Milliman Transparent, our price transparency analytics product.
